Children with AIDS Charity (CWAC) was set up in 1992 to help the youngest of those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS maintain a good quality of life. CWAC is a national UK charity with the aim of working towards a future without poverty or prejudice for these children and their families.  Many families living with HIV in the U.K today are not only struggling to cope with the effects of this virus but they are also facing stigma, isolation and in many cases, poverty.

CWAC's support includes the Hardship and Respite Breaks Project which assisst families with children (aged 0-18 years old) who are living in poverty and are infected with HIV or are affected by a family member having HIV/AIDS
