CHAI - Cameroon

Since early 2007, CHAI has been working with the Government of Cameroon to meet the pediatric treatment need by: donating pediatric ARVs and laboratory reagents; distributing job aids to facilitate pediatric antiretroviral dosing; supporting national level trainings on pediatric care and treatment, and working closely with community health workers at a number of critical sites.

Additionally, CHAI is working with the national lab partners to initiate the national early infant diagnosis program and to rapidly scale up access to pediatric testing. In early 2008, a nurse mentor will move to Cameroon to focus specifically on pediatrics in an underserved region of the country.
