CHAI - Benin

To help ensure all HIV-positive children receive the care they need, CHAI has provided ongoing technical support to the government of Benin , including hosting trainings for pediatricians on pediatric ART. We have made gold-standard pediatric ARVs available and has responded to national shortfalls of diagnostic and follow-up tests by providing necessary rapid tests and reagents.

In addition, CHAI has provided helpful tools for clinicians, including CHAI-developed dosing wheels. CHAI has also played an integral role in discussions with the government about making early infant diagnosis technologies available, and using ready-to-use therapeutic foods to treat pediatric malnutrition.
