Haiti Earthquake Relief Efforts
Tau Kappa Epsilon has partnered with Angelwish, a non-profit organization that was created by Frater Shimmy Mehta (Theta Zeta, Rutgers-Newark) to encourage the public to grant wishes to millions of children around the world who are living with HIV/AIDS.
Angelwish has been working with Partners In Health (PIH)for several years and we know it to be an exemplary organization providing comprehensive health care in underserved rural areas, particularly in the field of HIV/AIDS.
They have a long established presence in Haiti and have over 20 operating rooms set up in Haiti to attend to the survivors. They will be involved in the process for the long haul and will ensure that the funds raised remain in Haiti.
We encourage you to donate to PIH's relief efforts through this donation page on Angelwish. As usual, we will pass along 100% of your contribution to Partners In Health - and thanks to a challenge grant from our friends at Sterling Stamos, a private investment firm dedicated to philanthropy and public service, we'll take that a step further by MATCHING all contributions dollar for dollar up to a total $75,000 (if you want to help us raise that matching amount, email shimmy@angelwish.org).
