Deniz Onal, Director

Deniz is currently responsible for developing and managing the strategic Records Management Program at Goldman Sachs.  This program is designed to put a comprehensive, uniform structure around the firm's records-keeping processes in order to remain in compliance with regulatory retention rules placed upon GS businesses.

Prior to joining the Regulatory Operations group, Deniz led the Leveraging Technology Expertise (LTE) team within the Office of the CIO at Goldman Sachs.  He was responsible for capitalizing on the technology knowledge, expertise and relationships that existed within the Technology Division for the benefit of the firm's top tier clients, as well as for business units across the firm. By partnering across Merchant and Investment Banking, Deniz facilitated key client relationships and advised on strategic investments. Deniz also worked as an information security analyst providing security advice and best practices to technology and business areas across the firm as well as in technology engineering supporting the firm's core Windows infrastructure.

Deniz joined Goldman Sachs in 1998 as a new analyst in the Technology division and was promoted to Vice President in 2004.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Ithaca College and an MBA from Babson College.
