A patient with HIV is not alone when receiving care at the West Virginia University Positive Health Clinic. The clinic is with them every step of the way in treatment and helps them achieve the highest quality of life possible. Approximately 300 patients are enrolled in the Positive Health Clinic. The clinic is staffed by professionals who are trained and dedicated to the care of HIV positive patients. The West Virginia University Positive Health Clinic offers rapid-testing, case management, state of the art HIV treatment by infectious disease specialists, oral health care, counseling, nutrition counseling, medication adherence counseling, outpatient mental health care, substance abuse services, appropriate referrals for specialty and sub specialty care, and peer advocacy.
