It is June 1, and Angelwish turns 8 years old today. What an incredible journey it has been and none of the accomplishments that we have made could have been done without you.

I wish that I could show each one of you the impact that your support has on a child living with HIV/AIDS, but the stigma that surrounds the disease makes it difficult to show you what they are going through. There are medical, financial, and emotional struggles being dealt with by everyone in the family. Without a cure in sight, infected children are living their lives day by day. For those who may lose a parent, the future does not hold much promise without the ones they love.

Fortunately, there are thousands of doctors, nurses, social workers, and volunteers who are working tirelessly to care for the medical and emotional well being of these children. And then there is YOU. Your support as a donor, supporter, or cheerleader over the last 8 years makes all the difference in where we are today to supplement the work of these incredible people.

Some highlights of our work together include:

• Expanding our Angelwish network to include 112 HIV/AIDS Care Centers in 24 countries on 6 continents. There are more to come.

• Establishing Angelwish Limited in the United Kingdom as a registered charity to make the giving process seamless for our corporate supporters who have offices there.

• Creating over 25,000 smiles on the faces of children by taking over the physical toy drives of two organizations that decided to stop doing them just a few weeks before the holidays.

• Running the Angelwish WIFFLE Ball Classic, which has become an event that corporate teams wait all year for. The competition is fierce, the weather is a challenge, and the 12 year olds hit the grand slams against their dad's friends. 2007 brings us out to San Francisco.

• Educating children about giving back to those less fortunate by taking them on Angelwish Giving Sprees at Toys R US, engaging them to create Public Service Announcements, and having them volunteer at Angelwish events.

• Ensuring that individual donations are 100% tax deductible. Whether granting a wish or making a cash donation, we believe that it is very important for donors to know that all of their donation is going to the purpose intended.
